Edit your workspace in Obsidian
Obsidian is the calm, human-friendly way to open your agent's home folder. It turns the Markdown files your agent uses into a readable workspace: notes, dashboards, planner pages, memory, and knowledge base files, all in one place.
Why you need it
Your agent reads and edits plain files in its workspace. Obsidian lets you read and edit those same files without needing a code editor. Use it to review your Daily Planner, adjust habits, edit knowledge base notes, or inspect the instructions your agent follows.
Set it up
Download Obsidian
Go to the official download page and install the app for your computer.
Download ObsidianOpen your agent workspace as a vault
In Obsidian, choose Open folder as vault, then select the workspace folder your harness created when it installed the Divergent Starter Pack. This is the folder with files like AGENTS.md, MEMORY.md, skills, and knowledge-base.
Trust the workspace when Obsidian asks
The first time you open the vault, Obsidian warns you because the starter pack includes plugins. Click Trust author and enable plugins. The dashboards need those plugins to run.

Plugins included
The Divergent Starter Pack comes with these community plugins already installed and ready for the workspace:
Dataview
Runs the live planner and habit dashboards from ordinary Markdown notes.
Editing Toolbar
Adds a familiar formatting toolbar for notes, lists, links, and headings.
HTML Reader
Lets Obsidian open local .html and .htm files from the workspace.
Adds a simple way to print notes and documents from Obsidian.
VSCode Editor
Makes code-like files easier to read and edit when you need to inspect agent files.
Next: Meet your dashboards
Your workspace comes with two live dashboards — a Daily Planner and a Habit Tracker. Meet your dashboards walks through opening them.
Stuck or need help?
Send a message and it comes straight to me. Tell me where you got stuck and I'll write back.
Rather have it done for you?
If following the steps yourself isn't how your brain works today, that's fine. On a Zoom call you share your screen and hand me control, and I set it up for you, right there on your own computer. You watch it come together and end the call with a working setup, nothing left on your plate.
