Install the harness
Time to put the app on your computer. On Mac and Windows it's a normal desktop app, the kind you download and double-click. No terminal. On Linux, Claude Code installs from the command line.

Codex on Mac
- Open the Codex app page and download the Mac app. There are builds for both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
- Open the downloaded file and drag Codex into your Applications folder.
- Launch it and sign in with the ChatGPT account from step two.
